God’s plan to save, heal and restore people to freedom
“In [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery[which you have once put off].Galatians 5:1 (AMP)
There were so many small opportunities I can look back on as beginning moments. I didn’t notice it then but I see now God’s hand throughout all of them.
It was always just one person that noticed “something” in me and picked me to be apart. Going back to the early years it was my Grandmother. During our annual Samoan celebration called White Sunday, at the age of 4 or 5, I was featured as a soloist for our family. People would cry whenever I would sing and would tell me how it impacted them. I heard them say, “There’s just something special on your life.” Of course, I didn’t understand it then and don’t even think they knew what was going on. Looking back now I see the evidence of God’s presence.
I never considered myself one of the better singers. But, time and again, someone always chose me for an opportunity to sing, even if they picked me last. I wasn’t seasoned and I wasn’t the leader but God always found a way for me to be used to sing for Him.
From there things started to grow as I began to learn the true meaning of worship.
